Bentleys and Jane Eyre

The Bentley Owners Club visited the Museum on Tuesday.

Also the overflow carpark was being used by the production company filming Jane Eyre at Haddon Hall, Chatsworth and Wingfield Manor.

A Passionate Woman

Part 1 of a 2-part TV version of writer Kay Mellor's 'A Passionate Woman' airs on BBC1 this Sunday evening (11 April). The drama takes place in 1950s and 1980s Leeds, with scenes starring Billie Piper, set during a 1950s visit to the city by the Queen, being filmed at Crich Tramway Village on 15 November 2009.

Although Leeds 180 featured as the main tramcar, MET 331 temporarily became an additional Leeds City Transport vehicle for some shots.

Produced by Leeds-based Rollem Productions, there's the possibility of a feature-length theatrical release in due course.

First Visitors to the Exhibition Hall

The first visitors enjoying the newly opened Century of Trams exhibition on Good Friday.

1940's Event

On Sunday 4th and Monday 5th April 2010 the Museum is holding its 1940's event.

The theme for the weekend is "The Home Front". We are inviting all to come and participate in the experience of wartime Britain and encounter air raids, A.R.P wardens, troop movements, unexploded bombs, rationing and the ever-present spivs.

The Museum is open till 11.00 pm tonight and from 9.30 am till 6.00 pm on Monday.

Century of Trams Exhibition

The Century of Trams Exhibition opened on Friday 2nd April 2010.

First Tram in Town End Siding

Leeds 180 was the first service tram in the new siding at Town End.
